Due to the opening of the new Thomas Ewing Junior High School and new busing routes the roadway from 37 down Arbor Valley Drive to the 4 Way Stop must remain free of cars parked to pick up students after school. These parked vehicles are making it difficult for buses to maintain their routes. You may pick up students in front of the main office entrance as designated by Pick Up/Drop Off signs. Please take note of the notice below. We are sorry for what you have been accustomed to and the changes that need to be made.
Mr. Burre, Principal
Lancaster High School
This is a courtesy reminder that effective January 27, 2020, the Fairfield County Sheriff's Department
will issue a parking ticket for any vehicle stopped along Arbor Valley Drive between SR 37 and the island at the bottom of Arbor Valley Hill according to ORC 45.1169
Vehicles that are stopped in this area cause the roadway to become a one-lane road which restricts access for emergency services vehicles and locks the flow of buses into and out of LHS at dismissal.
This also creates unsafe conditions for students who are walking to get to a car or walking home.
It is recommended that you park in any open spots in the parking lot or arrive approximately 10 to 15 minutes later than dismissal time in order to avoid having to stop along this area.
