Dear Parents:

Welcome to Thomas Ewing Junior High School, home of the Senators. The dynamic Thomas Ewing staff is committed to excellence in education, and provide opportunities and support for students in this important time in their lives when learning to make good choices and learning the importance of a quality education are vital. I am so proud to call Thomas Ewing Junior High School home, and I consider it an honor to serve as Principal.

Junior High provides students with the foundation necessary for success in high school. We take this job very seriously and work to provide your child with engaging lessons utilizing researched-based best practices that fulfill state standards, many excellent options in the arts, outstanding athletic programs, clubs and extra-curricular activities, and many leadership opportunities. I highly recommend that your child pursue activities that will make their school experience more fulfilling and help prepare for the future.

Thomas Ewing is fortunate to have great support from the PTO and parent volunteers. Our families are the backbone of our success. As TEAM EWING, we accomplish so much more, and parent involvement in a child's education is the cornerstone for success.

§  Encourage your child to be at school each day and actively participate in class.

§  Encourage your child to complete all assignments and do his or her best each day.

§  Talk with your child about his or her day and communicate with teachers regularly.

§  Please encourage your child to respect themselves and others.

At Thomas Ewing, we are always available and want to work with our families to provide the best possible educational experience. We have great resources available such as guidance programs, academic support, arts and athletics, and a faculty and staff committed to providing a positive and productive learning environment for each child. Students come first at Thomas Ewing, and the focus for academic success guides our daily decisions.
